Tim Ragan | owner | performance engineer
Tim Ragan is the owner and CEO of Career Constructors and brings over 30 years of business management experience to the company. Tim is passionate about “business done well”, and brings that passion to career, team, and organizational performance enhancement. Tim has a B.Sc. (Electrical Engineering) from University of Alberta and an MBA from University of Ottawa, where he has taught marketing, business process redesign (BPR), and governance courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Tim has co-authored two books, including the recently published (Re)Boot Your Career: A Blueprint for Finding Your Calling, Marketing Yourself, and Landing Great Gigs, available on Amazon.
Britt-Mari Sykes | Vocational Counselor
Britt-Mari Sykes is a passionate educator, coach and seminar/workshop facilitator in the field of psychological health, well-being and human performance. Britt-Mari earned a PhD in 2005 in Psychology, Philosophy of Psychology, and Religious Studies from University of Ottawa. She is a specialist in existential and humanistic psychotherapies and the author of Questioning Psychological Health (2010), a historical and contemporary examination of the meaning of psychological health and development. She is an Associate with Personality Resources International (PRI) working with corporations in the areas of leadership, team work, communication and interpersonal relationships. She brings her background in psychology and individual development to her work as a vocational counselor with Career Constructors.
David Sigler | Business & Start-Up Coach
David has a passion for working with people to assist them in clarifying and then meeting their personal and business objectives, including finding their own fulfilling career. By recognizing each individual’s unique talents, abilities, and strengths, David helps his clients gain clarity and insight into their career search and development. With over 25 years of executive experience himself, he has developed a broad set of abilities that span product management, financial management, project management, technology management, investor management, marketing and sales. David has formed six companies and is an experienced entrepreneur. Over his career he specialized in building high performance teams and delivering great products in the least time. He brings his complete array of leadership, management, facilitation, and coaching skills to his role as a business coach and our resident online branding specialist.
Bill Caswell | Senior Mentor
Bill Caswell, B. Eng., P. Eng., continues to coach CEOs, executives and those seeking career improvements. He was previously a co-founder and CEO of an e-learning company and founder of other high technology enterprises. As the President of the SPS division of a $1 billion company, Bill established his information technology company in Ottawa, Toronto, Halifax, Seattle and Guadalajara, Mexico. He sold it in 1996. Earlier, as a design engineer, Bill was responsible for a number of inventions in the radar field and spent his early career with the Guided Missiles Range Division of Pan American Airways, under contract to NASA, launching 200 scientific rockets per year into the upper atmosphere. Bill speaks Spanish in addition to English.
Caroline Hannah | Senior Career Coach
Beginning with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Labour Studies from McMaster University, this Shawinigan QC native devoted 20 years to business in various management roles with corporations such as Dupont Canada, Lilly Industries in Mexico, MBNA Bank and United Way in Ottawa. As a Dale Carnegie business coach, Caroline mentored employees and teams from various Federal Departments and business corporations. Caroline’s key relationship management and coaching experience contribute significantly to our client’s career search and advancement efforts.
Arthur Karp | Senior Career Coach
Arthur has over 20 years experience in counseling, coaching and training in both the public and private sectors. As a senior career counselor with Health Canada, he advised, coached and trained others in fulfilling the HR mandate for the delivery of career management. His direct involvement as a career coach and trainer with Health Canada had him guiding employees on a one-to-one basis and in a seminar format toward responsibly taking control and advancing themselves; this ranged from entry level admin through to professional, mid-management, and executive levels. Arthur designed and delivered seminars on change management, transition, retirement preparation and career planning. He brings a collaborative approach in his coaching towards helping his clients tap their full potential.
